# How to connect Shopify

### Allowing custom app before setup

Before you begin, make sure you've allowed custom apps.\
​You do this in the Apps section, which you will find on the left side:

Then click on Apps and Sales channels

Click on Develop Apps:

### Setting up Shopify

Click on Create an app which is located in the top right corner:

Name the app 'Claimlane' and choose the app developer. In most cases, you will only have one to choose from:\

Once done, tap on Create app.

Configure/edit Admin API Scopes:\

Here you must check the following boxes:

* write\_customers
* ​write\_orders
* read\_products
* read\_customers
* read\_orders
* write\_discounts
* read\_discounts
* write\_price\_rules
* read\_price\_rules
* write\_gift\_cards
* read\_gift\_cards
* read\_inventory
* write\_inventory
* read\_locations

If you wish the Shopify Replace feature, we need the following scopes aswell:

* read\_returns
* write\_returns
* read\_assigned\_fulfillment\_orders
* write\_assigned\_fulfillment\_orders

Once you have done that, make sure that your Webhook subscription is set to the latest version.

Click Save in the top right of the page.

Finally, go to Admin API access token and click
