# How to Change Customer Number
Learn how to update or replace a customer number for one of your retailers in Claimlane.
#### Steps to Change a Customer Number
1. **Open the company settings**\
From your Claimlane inbox, click the **four-square icon** in the top navigation bar, then select **Manage Company**.
2. **Find your retailer**\
In the left-hand menu, go to **Retailers → Overview**.\
Locate the retailer you want to update and click **Edit**.
3. **Update the customer number**\
In the **first text field**, enter the new customer number or replace the old one.\
Make sure to click the **green tick icon** to save your changes.
**That’s it!**\
You’ve successfully updated the customer number for your retailer.
