# How to deactivate users, B2B brands, and self-service portals

If any part of Claimlane is no longer needed, here is what you can do.

#### **1) Deactivate a user (in the app)**

* Go to Settings → Users (or Team / Members depending on your setup).
* Find the user and open their profile.
* Click Deactivate (or set the user to Inactive).
* Confirm.

Result: The user can no longer log in or access the workspace.

#### **2) Deactivate a B2B brand (in the app)**

* Go to Settings → Brands (B2B).
* Select the brand you want to deactivate.
* Choose Deactivate (or set Status = Inactive).
* Confirm.

Result: The brand is removed from the active B2B flow options (and should no longer be available for creating new B2B tickets).

#### **3) Deactivate or delete a self-service portal (by deactivating its channels)**

Self-service portals are public via a link, so “deactivation” can be done by disabling what’s accessible.

* In the portal settings, go to Channels.
* Deactivate/disable all channels for that portal.
* Remove the portal link from the website, emails, etc.

Result: The portal link may still exist, but it won’t have active channels for end users to use.

Deleting the account can also be done – in this case, the customer will see no result, if they access the link.

* In the portal settings, go to Start Screen settings.
* Scroll all the way down
* Delete Flow
